Overview

An AI dataset annotation tool — a full-stack web application for uploading images and labelling them for AI datasets — developed using Test-Driven Development (TDD).

  • Frontend: Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript 5, Tailwind CSS 4, Zod 4.
  • Backend: Next.js API routes with better-sqlite3 (SQLite) and a custom data-access layer on Node.js.
  • Firebase Authentication, Firebase Storage and a Google Gemini chatbot, all reached through a centralised Vercel API so keys stay server-side.
  • Testing: Jest with React Testing Library, Mocha and Chai for the database, Playwright end-to-end, plus fast-check, MSW and supertest.
